Home / Why Is My Garage Door Making Noise?
A new or worsening garage door noise can be an early clue that something is worn, loose, rubbing or out of alignment.
Listen for Changes
Grinding or scraping may point toward rollers, tracks or other moving hardware. Popping or sudden changes in door balance deserve prompt attention. The sound alone does not reliably identify the failed component.
See our track and roller repair guide or call if the noise is accompanied by jerky or uneven movement.
