Garage Door Safety: What Homeowners Should Avoid

A garage door is a large moving system with components that can be under significant tension. Some observations are reasonable for homeowners; repairs involving springs, cables or unstable doors deserve extra caution.

Stop and Call for Help When

• A cable is loose, frayed or broken
• The door is crooked or has left the track
• The door is hanging or unstable
